TIGO TS4-A-O Optimizer
The use of TIGO TS4-A-O optimizers allows, above all, to maximize the efficiency of individual photovoltaic panels operating in different conditions. They may result from partial shading, which in a standard photovoltaic installation affects the operation of the other panels connected in one string.
No communication is needed for the Tigo TS4 to function properly. Modules equipped with and without Tigo can be connected in a chain - thanks to the PIV technology (predicting the IV curve of the module based on historical data), the optimizer will select the impedance of the system. However, in order to be able to switch off the installation in an emergency (e.g. during a fire), and to monitor the installation, communication devices are necessary.
The TS4-A-O implements a security feature that works when the optimizer is connected to Cloud Connect or Cloud Connect Advanced. The function is activated automatically or manually - after activation, the voltage and current of each module drops to 0.
Manual control of the safety function can be accomplished by connecting a fire switch to Cloud Connect or Cloud Connect Advanced.
